How do I know if my water heater needs replacing or just a repair?
Age, a tank that leaks, and repairs that keep returning all point toward replacement. A part that has failed on an otherwise sound tank often just needs repair. We look at the unit, tell you which situation you are in, and explain what each route would involve before you decide.
Can you install a water softener in my home?
Yes. We install water softeners alongside our water heater work. Hard water can leave scale on fixtures and in tanks, so a softener is a common addition. We look at where it would fit in your plumbing and talk through the options before any work begins.
What kinds of pipe do you repair?
We repair and replace damaged copper, PEX, ABS and galvanized pipe. Which one you have often depends on your home's age. Tell us what the house was built with, or what you can see under the sink or in the basement, and the plumber will confirm when they arrive.
My kitchen disposal stopped working. Do you fix those?
We install and repair garbage disposals. Before you call, check that nothing is stuck inside and that the unit has not tripped its reset button. If it still will not run, we diagnose it, then tell you whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense for your kitchen.
What is worth trying before I call about a blocked drain?
Stop running water into it, and keep anything chemical away from it. A plunger can help with a toilet or a tub. If the water level is not moving, or the problem keeps coming back, call and describe which fixtures are affected, so we know what to bring.
