These are the fixtures you touch every single day, so when one acts up you feel it. We repair and install faucets, toilets, showers, bathtubs and garbage disposals in Barrie homes. We work in your kitchen and bathrooms as guests, which means clean floors, covered surfaces and a quick tidy at the end.
Faucets in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room
A dripping faucet wastes water and wears on your nerves. Often the repair is small, and we will say so. When the faucet is worn out or you simply want a new look, we install new kitchen, bathroom and laundry faucets.
Tell us if you have picked out a faucet already. We will check that it suits your sink and your plumbing before we fit it.
Toilets that run, rock or need replacing
We repair toilets that keep running, leak at the base or flush weakly. When a repair is not worth it, we remove the old toilet and install a new low-flow, dual-flush model. Dual-flush toilets give you a lighter flush for liquid waste and a fuller one for the rest, which is easier on your water use.
Showers and bathtubs
Whether you are putting in a new shower or fixing one that drips, sputters or will not stay hot, we handle the plumbing side. The same goes for bathtubs: faucets, spouts and the connections behind the wall. If tile or a panel needs to come off to reach something, we explain that before we start.
When the garbage disposal quits
Disposals jam, leak and burn out. We repair them when that is sensible and install a replacement when it is not. A new disposal also needs to be connected to the sink drain properly, and we check that the drain beneath it is running clear.
Keeping your home tidy while we work
Neat work matters to us. We protect floors, keep tools out of your way and take our packaging and old parts with us. You will know what is being done at each stage because we talk you through it.

Questions we get asked
Why is my faucet still dripping after I tightened it?
Over-tightening rarely cures a drip and can make it worse. The usual culprit is a worn washer, cartridge or seat inside the faucet, which tightening will not fix. If the faucet is old, the parts may be hard to find, and we will tell you whether replacement is the better value.
Can you install a faucet I bought myself?
Usually, yes. Show us what you have before the visit if you can, or tell us the type. We check that it fits your sink holes and supply lines, and tell you early if anything is missing. That avoids a half-finished job and a second trip to the store.
My toilet runs on and off by itself. What is going on?
A toilet that refills by itself usually has a flapper that no longer seals, a fill valve that is not shutting off, or a chain that is caught. These parts wear out over time. We check them one at a time and repair what is faulty, which often means no new toilet.
What is a dual-flush toilet and is it worth having?
A dual-flush toilet has two buttons or a two-way handle: a smaller flush for liquid waste, a larger one for solids. You use less water on the small flush, which can lower your water use over time. We can remove your old toilet and install a low-flow dual-flush one.
Why does my toilet rock when I sit on it?
A rocking toilet is not sitting firmly on its flange, or the floor is uneven. Left alone, it can break the seal under the bowl and let water leak into the floor. We reset or re-seal it, and check the floor around it for damage.
My shower has weak water or switches between hot and cold. Is that fixable?
Often, yes. Weak flow can be a blocked showerhead or a worn valve, and hot and cold swings usually point to the valve cartridge. We find which one it is first. Replacing a worn part is often much simpler than replacing the whole shower.
My garbage disposal hums but will not spin. What should I do?
Switch it off at the wall first and keep your hand out of the sink opening. A hum with no spin usually means something is jammed. Do not use chemical cleaners. Call us and we will free it, or tell you if the motor is finished and a replacement makes more sense.
What should never go down a garbage disposal?
Skip grease and oil, coffee grounds in bulk, bones, fruit pits, potato peels, pasta and rice. They either stick to the pipe walls or swell and clog. Run cold water while it works and for a few seconds after. A disposal handles soft scraps, not everything left on a plate.
